Sand Dunes Trail (Snow Canyon State Park)

Posted by James! On 6:18 PM

Overview:
The Sand Dunes are a fantastic place for children to play in the sand, and for hikers to take a leisurely walk, and are consequently one of the main attractions of Snow Canyon State Park. Located not far away from a picnic area and restrooms, a trip to the Sand Dunes is great for lunch with the family. Children will enjoy burying themselves in the sand, and even rolling down the steep slopes of the dunes surrounded by the stunningly beautiful sandstone cliffs of Snow Canyon State Park. A trip to the Sand Dunes is a great addition to a day at Snow Canyon State Park due to its close proximity to other kid-friendly areas of interest including Jenny's Canyon Trail. On hot summer days, the dunes can be toasty, so be sure to have plenty of water with you, and keep the sunscreen handy.

Note: there is a $6 per vehicle per day fee to enter Snow Canyon State Park.
